Meet the Team

Tommy has been in the motor trade for the last 15 years and ran a smart repair van for 5 years before moving the TP Smart Repairs business to bigger premises. Tommy gained some of his work experience and knowledge when he worked with bigger dealerships like Volkswagen and Ford.

Mark has been doing motor vehicle repairs for 40 years. He first started as an apprentice in 1983 for a BMW dealership and now works in the TP Smart Repairs body shop.

Joe works in our body shop and has just completed his three year apprenticeship. He is now a fully qualified panel technician with his vehicle damage panel technician certificate.

Dolly is our chief safety officer here at TP Smart Repairs. Her role includes watching over everyone in the body shop, making sure they’re all working hard, and eating treats. Sleeping in the sun is one of her favourite hobbies.

Jamie works with us in the mechanical workshop and has just completed his three year apprenticeship. He is now a fully qualified technician with his motor vehicle service and maintenance technician certificate.

Callum is our new panel beating apprentice, on his first year of the course. He has a big interest in the motor trade, especially in the body shop sector. Callum has joined us straight from school and enjoys a good challenge.

Andy has been part of TP Smart Repairs since the start of their new venture in 2020. He has worked for many car franchises, including Ford, British Leyland, Triumph, Toyota and Mazda. In 1978, he worked in the building next door, which was Dutton and Forshaws at the time. Andy has built and raced an MG Metro, a Renault Clio, and has also raced a Porsche over the years. Now helping to run Honda Integra in the CSCC race meetings and a Honda 600 motorbike at track days. You could say he’s a little obsessed with motorsport.

Ben is another one of our technicians and has been in the motor trade for 5 years. He specialises in VW vans, commercial vehicles, Euro 5 and 6 TDI engines. Ben first started as an apprentice for VW Commercial.

Dave is one of our mascots here at TP Smart Repairs. He is also Dolly’s apprentice. Dave is learning all the ropes from Dolly to become the best safety officer. His role includes watching over everyone and looking cute, and his favourite thing to do is to greet all our customers.

Owen has been in the motor trade for 5 years, where he started out at a repair garage. He mainly does the prepping side of things here, which he enjoys, although he is looking forward to learning new skills with us at TP Smart Repairs.

Ruby is TP Smart Repairs’ newest apprentice and is learning in the mechanical sector. Ruby is passionate about F1 and has been inspired to learn about the motor trade as her dream is to be able to work in the motorsport world. She supports McLaren but wants to work towards being able to join team Ferrari to have a chance to go to Italy.

Ruby’s favourite team members are Dolly and Dave (we can’t blame her; they’re our favourites too!)
