This Vauxhall Astra Van started its life with a standard 1.4 4 speed manual that didn’t exactly excite anyone.
The owner rescued and restored it to it’s current glory but was never happy with it’s performance so during it’s restoration he sourced a 1.8 Astra GTE engine, interior and of course that uber cool electronic dash to inject some performance into her.
He converted the rear axle from MK3 Astra with bolt on hubs rather than the standard pressed ones.
Water pump and cam belt were replaced at the same time along with new lowered and adjustable suspension and springs.
Dynamat sound proofing really does improve the driving experience which really does need to be experienced.
This really is a one off that ticks a lot of boxes and i think would make a very cool bit of marketing for a retro business out there.
Marker on the car – STOLEN in 2002 but this was later cancelled- We are in talks with the insurance company to try and remove this.
